Ronald G. Wink, 85, of Galena, IL, formerly of Granville, IL, passed away February 9, 2022, at Galena Stauss Senior Care Community, in Galena, IL.
Per Ron's request, private family services were held. The Helmer-Shields Funeral Home, Granville, assisted the family with arrangements.
Ron was born December 15, 1936, in La Salle, IL, to Elmer and Lena (Stratton) Wink. He married Anna Biagi, on December 19, 1964, in Mc Nabb, IL.
[Ron graduated from Hopkins Township High School, Granville, with the Class of 1956.]
Ron retired from Foster-Grant, in Peru. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, in Granville, and a past member of the Granville Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed woodworking in his garage, helping friends out whenever he could, and spending time in the local coffee shops visiting with his friends.
Ron is survived by one daughter, Robin (Pete) Pearson, of East Du Buque, IL; one son, Raymond (Sherry) Wink, of Mc Nabb, IL; six grandchildren, Lily Wink, Ryan (Kelly) Wink, Courtney (Quinton) Burcar, Matthew Wink, Megan Wink, and Bradley Wink; three step-grandchildren, Emily Howell, Jonathin Brandner, and Keenin Brandner; four great-grandchildren, Paul Wink, Jameson Wink, Emma Foltynewicz, and Hayden James Miller; three step-great-grandchildren, Jace Howell, Brayden Howell, and Grayson Howell; sisters-in-law, Donna Wink and Kristi Biagi; nephew, Brian Biagi; nieces, including beloved niece Sherry (David) Morris; cousins; daughter-in-law, Tonni Wink; and son-in-law, Michael Dabler.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna, son Kevin in infancy, son Ronald in 2014, daughter Rebecca in 2018, and brother Ray Wink.
