BALLSTON SPA -- Steven C. Cooper, 17, of West North Street, Ballston Spa, died suddenly, Monday, October 11 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Saratoga Springs, September 18, 1982, he was the son of Steve Brooks and Melinda Cooper. He was a junior at Ballston Spa High School. He enjoyed football, baseball and car racing. He was predeceased by a grandmother, Patricia Brooks and grandfather, Martin Cooper. Survivors include parents, Steve Brooks and Melinda Cooper of Ballston Spa; sister, Shannon Brooks of Ballston Spa; brother, James Cooper of Ballston Spa; grandmother, Kathy Freebern of Porter Corners; grandfather, Raymond Brooks of Colonie; stepgrandfather, Robert Freebern of Saratoga Springs; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at Armer Funeral Home Inc. 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial, Factory Village Cemetery in Ballston Spa. Calling hours, Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
