James "Ervin" Carter, Sr., 69, of Richlands, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel, with Revs. Charles Williams and Bryan Young officiating. Burial will follow at East Duplin Memorial Gardens. Ervin is survived by his wife, Kathy Pierce Carter of the home; one son, James E. Carter, Jr. of the home; three daughters, Annette Klink, Jennifer Murphy and Leanne Taylor, all of Richlands; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8 at the funeral home.
