Margaret "Arty" Harney Estes, 69, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington. A native of Winchester, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Preston Harney, Sr., and Joyce Monroe Harney. She was a retired travel agency owner and most recently worked for the Travel Authority an Altour Company in Lexington. Arty was a previous member of the Lexington Women's Club and many other charity organizations.
Survivors include her daughter Whitney Leigh Estes; sisters, Pamela Cassidy, and Jamie Johnson; brother, James Preston, Jr.; nieces, Kendall Cassidy, Blair Bush, and Staci Insko; nephew, Travis Harney; nine great nieces and nephews, Olivia Bush, Laila and Spencer Cassidy, and Noah and Owen Insko, Landon, Tucker, Reece, and Harper Harney.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Robert White.
Family will receive friends from 11:00AM until time of services.
