Olympic Basketball Player. He competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki in which the team distinguished themselves by winning the Gold medal. He was part of the 1952 University of Kansas team that won the NCAA Championship that year. After the 1952 Olympics he joined the United States Air Force, where he also played. After leaving the Air Force he became a banker in Kansas. He is a member of the Kansas Athletics Hall of Fame and received the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame's "Pride of Kansas" Award in 2012.
