Dies at County Home
Mrs. Clara Hammond, about 65 years old, former resident of this city, died late last night at the county home in Winfield. She had been in Winfield several years. No relatives of Mrs. Hammond reside here now. A step-son, Ed Hammond, formerly of Arkansas City, who now lives at Pierce City, Mo., has been notified and is on the way here today. The body was brought here last night. No arrangements for the funeral services have been made. Oldroyd is in charge.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clara A. Hammond, who died Tuesday night in Winfield, will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning in the Oldroyd chapel. Rev. M.M. Akers, of the Church of God will officiate. Mrs. Hammond, 63 years old, and a former resident of this city, was the widow of Charles Hammond. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y. Ed Hammond, step-son, who lives at Pierce City, Mo., arrived here last night, and completed arrangements for the funeral services. The body will be buried in Parker cemetery, east of the city.
