Bobby Ferrel Roberts went to be with his Lord February 4, 2022. He was born in Robert Lee to John Alton and Loretha Mitchell Roberts. He graduated from Robert Lee High School in 1953. He married Jeffie Inez Harmon on June 18, 1954.
After graduation he began work in the oilfield as a roughneck in Spearman, Texas. In 1956 he was drafted by the US Army and stationed in Long Beach, California. In 1958 after his service they moved back to Robert Lee where he began working for Texas Natural Gas / Union Texas Petroleum as a gas plant operator until his retirement in 1991. He was active in Farm Bureau, Masonic Lodge (61 years) and Eastern Star (60 years). He also worked the family farm and ranch. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed the ranch life raising livestock and cultivating the land. One of his favorite past times was fishing. And he was a member of the Robert Lee Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Alton and Loretha Mitchell Roberts. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Jeffie Harmon Roberts, daughter Sheila Roberts Farrar and husband Jim, son Douglas Roberts and wife Denise, granddaughters Crystal Stanford and husband Ryan, Lauren Rozell and husband Neil, Kacee Sellers and husband Luke and grandson James Roberts and wife Kassie, five great granddaughters Alyssa, Kamryn, Emma, Kallie and Arya. And many nephews, nieces, cousins and multiple friends.
