Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Walker Bamberg, 95, of Ashland, LA will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Pat's Chapel in Ashland, LA with Rev. Jerry Martin officiating and Rev. Purvis Rodriguez assisting. Interment will follow in Hathorn Cemetery, Ashland, LA.
Mrs. Bamberg was born December 2, 1915 in Ashland, LA and passed away December 11, 2010. She was a member of Ashland Baptist Church and a librarian in Ashland for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Bamberg; parents, Edwin and Mae Walker; and sister, Edwina Walker Russell.
Mrs. Bamberg is survived her son, Robert E. Bamberg, II and wife, Peggy of Ashland, LA; sister, Doris Walker Smith of Austin, TX; grandson, Robert Earl Bamberg, III and wife, Pamela of Fairview, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be John A. Dupree, Roy Dupree, Sam Dupree, Allen Dupree, David Dupree, Brooks (Bubba) Powell.
