Ruby was a daughter of the late Isaiah & Lucinda (Bechtel) Dettweiler. Beloved wife of Silvin Roth who she married October 15, 1960. Dear mother of Doug (Linda) of New Hamburg, Sharon (Ray)Bonnell of Kitchener, Gary (Joan), Linda, Jewel (Brian) Cressman, all of New Hamburg. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren David (Angela), Brad, Lisa, Chrissy (Chad), Raylee, Janine, Melody, Holly, Ian, Joy, Curtis, Bethany and Amy and by great-grandchildren Taylor, Katelyn, Kenneth, Courtney, Shelby, Capri & Austin, with whom she enjoyed Christmas dinner on December 26th.

Also sadly missed by brothers Harold (Margaret)Dettweiler, Clarke Dettweiler, Ward (Beatrice) Dettweiler, by sister Norma Dettweiler, by brothers-in-law John Sayer, Freeman (Carolyn)Roth, John Watson and by sisters-in-law Joyce Dettweiler, Ethel Roth and Helen Roth.

Ruby was predeceased by brother Glenn, sisters Margaret (Laverne) Good and Mary Sayer, sisters-in-law Katherine Dettweiler, Ruth Dettweiler, Luella (Lloyd) Zehr, Nelda Watson, and brothers-in-law Henry Roth & Nelson Roth.

Ruby was a faithful member of Grace Mennonite Church, where she contributed gifts in many ways. She pieced numerous comforters for relief in her latter years. She gave generously and selflessly of her time to help her family, and many people were recipients of her gardening skills. Her wit and sense of humour will be missed by all. She was a remarkable cook and entertained many guests at her table. In her earlier years she cooked meals for the needy at the House of Friendship in Kitchener.

Friends and relatives called at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg until Tuesday Jan 1st, 2008 when transfer was made to East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th Line for the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Howard Bean and Earl Koch officiating. Burial to follow in 19th Line East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery.

"I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course,I have kept the faith... II Tim 4:7."
