She was born March 9, 1924, in Mansfield, the daughter of Fred Sr. and Evelyn Paige Hayes. She was a homemaker and a farm wife. She worked in housekeeping at Apple Creek Developmental Center for 10 years. Surviving are children, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wade Messner, and her second husband, Roy Amstutz; her parents; and a brother, Fred Hayes Jr.
Services will be at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, Wooster, where friends may call prior to the services.
Burial will be in Apple Creek Cemetery.
