WM. BAILEY, 94, EXPIRES SATURDAY
William H. Bailey, 94. lifelong resident of Climax community and widely known for his hobby of making violins, died at his home here at 4:00 a. m. Saturday, January 12. He had been seriously ill since Tuesday. He was born in Charleston township on September 21, 1851. the son of Joel and Mary (Harrison) Bailey. He grew up in the vicinity of Climax, engaged in farming. On November 25, 1875, he was united in marriage to Hannah Winger, who passed away in 1927, shortly after her death he retired from active farming and moved to Climax village, sharing his home with his son, Ray. Beside the son he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Mamie Sheets of Battle Creek and Mrs. Ellis Russell of Climax, eight grand-children, and one great great grandson. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Burk & Hoag Funeral Home in Climax with Rev. Glen Jager of the Climax Baptist church officiating. Burial in the Charleston township cemetery.
