Jeffrey Lee Sigmon, 59, of Newton passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

He was born August 31, 1962 in Catawba County to the late James Butler Sigmon and Mildred Klaus Sigmon. Jeffrey was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Conover and a United States Navy veteran.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Butler Sigmon; and mother, Mildred Klaus Sigmon.

Those left to cherish his memory are; Son, Jesse Lee Sigmon of Newton; Daughter, Kendra Michelle McCombs of Newton; Brothers, Jon Sigmon and wife Kay of Blowing Rock, Jerry Sigmon and wife Deana of Claremont and Jamie Sigmon and wife Sue of Conover; Sisters, Cindy Miller and husband Chuck of Claremont and Vicky Sigmon of Claremont; Grandchildren, Zackery Vagh and Katelyn Freedale.

A service to celebrate Jeffrey's life will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Conover. Rev. Scott Johnson and Rev. Anton Lagoutine will officiate. Burial with military honors by the Honor Guard from Hickory Post # 544 of The American Legion will follow in the church cemetery.
