MRS. MARY CHILDERS HOWARD, 83, of 2013 East Idlewild Avenue, passed away Saturday evening. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Belmont Baptist Church, 7830 North 56th Street. Rev. Joe G. Clements, Pastor of the Belmont Baptist Church and Rev. J.T. Creel will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mrs. Howard will lie in state at the church from 1:00pm until time of service. Pallbearers will be Jack Massey, Louie Wells, Lamar Richards, Tommy Smith, Bill Schwab and Elmer Mims. F.T. Blount Company Funeral Home, 5101 Nebraska Avenue is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Howard was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Roy Childres, Troy Childers, Harold Childers, all of Tampa, Jack Childers, Brooksville; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Bedford, Inverness, Fla., Mrs. Eva Lee McKiernan, Waterford, California; three sisters, Mrs. Sally Williams, Oxford, Fla., Mrs. Drucilla Floyd, Gainesville, Fla., Mrs. Lila Mikell, Branford, Fla. and 6 grandchildren.
