John H. Bintz, 80, 408 Clark Fork Manor, died Saturday of natural causes in a Missoula hospital.
He was a machinist for the Viking Pump Co. at Cedar Falls, Iowa, for more than 30 years. In 1964 he retired and moved to Missoula.
Mr. Bintz was born Sept. 7, 1899, in Cedar Falls, where he was raised and attended schools.
He married Mable Vining in 1954 Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Mrs. Bintz died Nov. 12, 1972.
He was a member of the Machinists Union.
Survivors include a son, John, of California; two step-sons, Robert Vining, Missoula; and James Vining, Kennewick, Wash.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at squire Simmons & Carr Rose Chapel with Beryl Burr officiating.
Burial will be in the Missoula City Cemetery.
