Joseph Leroy Silvers, 72, 1805 S. W G St., died unexpectedly Saturday, July 29,2000, at Reid Hospital. He was born July 24, 1928, in New Paris, Ohio, to Roy and Mae Coleman Silvers and had lived in Richmond for 36 years. He retired from Link-O-Matic, where he worked as a supervisor and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Martha Silvers; one son, Joseph Lee Silvers of New Paris, Ohio; one stepson, Bill Jackson of Greensburg; one stepdaughter, Julia Russell of Richmond; 6 grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Silvers of New Paris, Ohio; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Pugh, Dorothy Mae Silvers and Ruth Ann Silvers.

Private committal will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris, Ohio.
