Jerry D. Baker, 56, died of cancer at St. Mary Desert Valley Hospital in Apple Valley on Sept. 11, 1995.
Born in Glendale. Arizona, he lived in Lucerne Valley for eight of his 12 years in California. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War for which he received the Silver Star and Purple Heart; and was a past member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Wickenburg, Arizona.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Orpha; stepchildren Philip Morris of Wickenburg, Arizona, Carol Obegi of Los Angeles, Laura Williams of Glendora, and Margo Morris of Maui, Hawaii; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
