PEOPLE make the day. Whether you are lucky enough to find a good lifelong friend, have an amazing family member, have a fun business colleague that makes going into the workplace less "work" and more enjoyment, that perfect person that makes you laugh…Provides countless hours of entertainment…travels to Vegas at a moment's notice, drops everything when you need them, loves the Christmas holidays, remembers special moments with Grandparents.

This is John Michael. He was born on April 24th, 1976 and joined the family as the youngest of the Blevins children. Early in his childhood, he learned to defend himself against three older brothers and endured an overprotective sister. As a kid, he loved stacking his little matchbox cars on the stairs, in a straight line, only to have one moved by a couple of inches by irritating brothers. He kept an immaculate bedroom as early as age 10. Every sheet and blanket had to be lined out without any wrinkles. His over-sized stuffed Garfield Cat was arranged by the fluffy pillows. His clothes had to be folded a certain way. Clothes in the closet were color coordinated. His sock line had to be perfectly stretched over his toes or the family would be subjected to cries of displeasure before he would wear a shoe. To run his fingers through long hair was his absolute delight. He loved Pace Picante sauce on everything. Spicy food was a favorite. Taco Bell was his favorite fast food to-go. He loved laughter, smiles, and hugs. He was a people person. He craved genuine friendships.

He took any early in BMW cars. These were "QUALITY." He spent the past several years looking to acquire the best that BMW would offer. He enjoyed racing, scaring his passengers, and fiddling with every button in the car to learn what its purpose was.

John poured his heart into his work and strived to excel at his position. He tolerated nothing short of excellence and expected it without the cut of corners. For this reason, he was well liked by his peers, formed relationships with his business customers and gained the respect of his supervisors.

He belly-laughed through great movies, often reciting movie lines in day-to-day conversations. He should have received royalties from the Titanic movie for as many times as he watched it. He loved a great restaurant, and enjoyed sharing phenomenal and expensive meals with friends and family.

John left us very unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 22nd, 2022. If he would have known that his time was up and his number was about to be called, he would have no doubt scheduled time on his calendar to have that one last talk with anyone he knew. He would have wanted to say, "I love you" one more time, to make sure his house was spotlessly flawless and clean, make sure all of his affairs were in order, and leave no detail undone.

It is almost impossible to squeeze all of life's details in between dashes of our start and end dates. John's life was full, but shortened by too many years. The fullness was expanded by his everyday life, the joy that he shared, the people that wanted to be around him. No doubt, that Heaven will be filled with the laughter of angels and those that have gone before him. What a great reunion day for him to be reunited with his beloved Pap-pa and Mam-ma.

We are left behind to miss him. All of his co-workers, friends, and extended family. His immediate family that will be lost without him are his lifelong partner and best friend, Tony Grossman of Katy, his parents Archie & Linda Blevins of Pflugerville, TX, Kevin (Gay) Blevins of McKinney, TX, Richie (Lynne) Blevins of Hutto, TX, Nick Blevins of Washington, several nieces and nephews, and 2 special great-nieces. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and older sister, Michelle.

Love those around you. Tell them every day what they mean to you. Make sure that when you leave, your space between your dashes is too FULL to squeeze in all of the details.

A visitation for John will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Reflections Chapel in Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
