Services celebrating the life of Deborah D. Evens, age 50 of Albany, will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 21 at the Church of Seven Dolors in Albany. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Deborah died Wednesday at the Albany Area Hospital after a battle with cancer. There will be a visitation from 4-9:00 PM Friday and again after 10:00 AM Saturday at the Seven Dolors Parish Center in Albany. A rosary service will be at 5:00 PM followed by prayers at 7:00 PM Friday at the parish center. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany.
Deb was born February 7, 1959 in Melrose to Anthony and Martha (Rolfzen) Weber. She grew up in Melrose and married Jack Evens on January 6, 1979 in Melrose. The couple has lived their married life in Albany. Deb worked as a secretary at the Albany Junior High School for a short time and then worked as the Studio Manager for Ludwig Photography in Albany, the photography studio she and her husband owned.
Deb is a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany.
Deb is survived by her husband, Jack in Albany. Her children, John Evens, Las Cruces, NM; Mara Evens, St. Cloud; and Izach Evens, Albany. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Darlene (Curt) Andres, Monticello; Dave (Marilyn) Weber, Melrose; Diane Majchrzak, St. Joseph; Duane (Carol) Weber, Eagan; Donna (George) Pavalek, Glencoe; Dennis (Judy) Weber, Melrose; Diona (John) Pearson, Maple Grove; Denise Tomasek, Melrose and Daniel (Rhonda) Weber, Melrose.
Deb is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Joe Marchzak.
