KELLEY, TERESA R.
Teresa R. Kelley of Flint, age 89, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Homewood Village. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Douglas Osborn officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John Vianney Catholic Church or Powers Catholic High School. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Teresa was born in Flint, Michigan on March 31, 1923, the adopted daughter of the late Willis and Esther (Hamlin) Cummings. On September 14, 1946 she married Richard J. Kelley and he passed away on April 7, 2010. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, where she was the organist when the church first started, and for many years after. She and her husband enjoyed a wonderful retirement; spending winters for 25 years in Panama City, Florida, with many close friends, creating wonderful memories. Surviving are four children, Kathleen M. Kelley of Flushing, Laura Clark of Los Angeles, Thomas (Suzanne) Kelley of Arlington, VA and Brian (Nanette) of Fenton; grandchildren, William (Bernadette) Lynch of Silver Spring, Maryland, Mellisa Hatchew of Grand Blanc and Timmothy (Annie) of Swartz Creek; great-grandchildren, Avery Kelley, Patrick Kelley, Jameson Kelley and Kelley Lynch; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Kelley; two brothers and one sister. Special thank you to the entire staff of Comfort Keepers at Genesee Gardens
