Ms. Walker was a native of France who survived the second world war (6 years of it!) and graduated from the local French high school in 1952. She met and married the late Eugene Walker of Adrian, GA, who was then stationed in France, in the U.S. Air Force base of Chaumont.

Upon moving to the United States, she became a U.S. citizen in 1960, in Savannah, GA and she prepared herself to a life of "Air Force travels". She and her husband raised three children together while traveling from airbase to airbase over land and sea for 20 years or so.

At a certain point in her life Andree decided to improve her European high school education and she entered American colleges wherever and whenever she could. She graduated, Magna Cum Laude, from Mercer University with a degree in education. She taught several years at East Laurens Elementary School and retired there.

Andrée was a Christian wo raised her children in the knowledge of the Lord. She was an avid reader and traveler. For many years she spent her summers "hop-scotching" around the continents, until old age and arthritis stopped her…then, she read and read and reminisced her full and interesting life 'til the Lord took her.

She was preceded in death by her son Calvin E. Walker and by her former husband Eugene Walker.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
