Ervin Joseph "Butch" Kazik Jr., 81, De Pere, passed away surrounded by family on January 20, 2022. The son of Ervin Sr. and Elsie (Smith) Kazik was born on January 13, 1940. On October 21, 1961 he married Karen Charles.

Butch retired from Proctor & Gamble. He and Karen enjoyed camping, bowling and traveling together, but it was the time spent with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that meant the most to them. Butch also loved woodworking, tinkering and fixing things for family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Mary Jo Krahn, Christine Kazik and Theresa (Rick) Roskom; grandchildren, Barry (Gina), Rachel (Kevin), Eric (Misti), Joey (Nicole), Paul, Misty (Joe), Tiffany (Andy), Shannon (Stephanie), and 14 great grandchildren. Butch is further survived by his 14 siblings Eugene, Elaine, Evelyn, Ellen, Edwin, Ellie, Earl, Betty, Angie, Pat, Joanie, Jan, Nancy and Charlie; their spouses; Karen's family and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Karen; his parents Ervin Sr. and Elsie; son Kevin; siblings Eileen, Joseph, Elizabeth, Timothy, Anthony and Melvin; son-in-law William "Bill"; great-grandson Lyle; members of Karen's family and other members of his extended family.

Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 3:00 p.m. Entombment will take place on Monday at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
