Ricky "Bay Bay" Corbitt, age 14, of West Green, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Memorial Health in Savannah, Georgia, due to an accidental gun shot wound.
Mr. Corbitt was born on March 23, 2007, in Coffee County, Georgia, to Richard D. Corbitt and Victoria Ruth Merritt.

Survivors include:
Father, Richard D. Corbitt of West Green, GA.
Mother, Victoria Ruth Merritt of Douglas, GA.
Brother, James Daniel Corbitt of Douglas, GA.
Maternal Grandparents, James and Janice Merritt of Douglas, GA.
Paternal Grandmother, Anita Horton Corbitt of West Green, GA.
Aunts: Misty Martin (Nick) of Douglas, GA, Leanne Porter (Danny) of Nicholls, GA.
Uncles: Robbie Merritt (Autumn) of Douglas, GA, and James Corbitt (Jessica) of Nicholls, GA.
He is also survived by many cousins.
Ricky was proceeded in death by his paternal grandpa Richard A (Ricky) Corbitt

The family received friends on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM, at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 2:00PM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Jump officiating. The interment followed at Lone Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were: Dalton Kirkland, Cameron Porter, Blake Porter, Randy Rish, Dakota Corbitt, and Jesse Hilliard.
Honorary Pallbearers were his classmates.
