ohn Robert Feld, 60, of Kansas City, Kan., formerly of Quincy, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Mr. Feld was born Oct. 24, 1952, to Don and Carroll Schroeder Feld. He married Patricia Jansen in Quincy. She survives.
John was of the Catholic faith.
He worked for many years for his grandfather at Hoener Glass Co. in Quincy and then for the Glaziers Union in Kansas City, retiring in 2012.
He loved spending time with his family and attending the NASCAR races at Kansas Speedway. He loved music and was a member of the popular band in the '60s, High Minded, playing all around the Quincy area.
John graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Quincy in 1970 and attended Christian Brothers College in Memphis, Tenn., graduating in 1974.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his mother, Carroll Hill of 4611 State St. Quincy; his children, Melissa Berger Feld (Jennifer) of Kansas City, Mo., Jessica Hinkle (Daniel) of Kansas City, Kan., John P. Feld of Kansas City, Kan., and Madelyn Feld (Damien) of Oak Grove, Mo.; his sisters, Dana Sass (Jon) of Quincy, Donna Jones of Highland Park, Texas, and Kelly Whan (Merl) of Camp Point; his grandchildren, Brynna and Makena Berger Feld, and Josh and Lily Hinkle; his stepmother, Shirley Feld; and many stepbrothers, stepsisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Don Feld; his brother, James "Jim" Ira Feld; his stepfather, Jerry Wilcox; and his grandparents Elizabeth and Skip Hoener, and Aldo and Ruth Feld.
