Verna Lee Keller, 75, of Arnold, MO, passed away at 12:30 P.M., Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her residence.
Verna had worked as a registered nurse at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center and retired in 2005. She was a member of the Windsor Baptist Church in Imperial, MO.
She was born September 6, 1946 at Bells, TN, the daughter or Carlie and Edna Mae (Hill) Brooks.
Verna married Larry Keller on September 12, 1964 at Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2004.
She is survived by her three children - Susan Leonard and husband Jeff of Columbia, IL, Larry Keller Jr, and wife Jeannie of Bonne Terre, MO, and Dawn Keller of Arnold, MO, two granddaughters - Victoria Leonard and husband Mason Meggs of Freeburg, IL and Kristian Bacon of Columbia, IL, two great grandchildren - Damien and Rowan Meggs of Freeburg, IL, two sisters - Susan Kelley and husband Wally of Prospect Heights, IL and Theresa Brooks of Barrington, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister - Connie Brooks.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Pastor Dan Gremminger officiating.
Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Please use social distancing guidelines. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the family, to help with the care of Verna's daughter, Dawn Keller and will be accepted at the funeral home.
