Paula Jean Livingston, 69, of Fayston, passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday January 9, 2022. Born in Barre on May 29, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Guy M. and Hesta (Nelson) Livingston.

Paula graduated from Harwood Union High School in 1970 and continued her education at the University of Vermont where she earned a bachelor's degree. In 1984 she enrolled in a Financial Management Masters Program at St. Michaels College. As a young woman Paula moved to California and worked for Norris Industries. When she returned to the Mad River Valley she worked for the law firm Olenick & Olenick in Waitsfield for several years. In 1989 she joined the Mad River Valley Ambulance Service (MRVAS) and became a certified Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (A-EMT). She saved many lives during her 32 years as a dedicated member and considered her fellow members to be her second family.

In her leisure time Paula was a diehard Patriots fan. She never missed a game as she always wrote down the game schedules to make sure she was available. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, reading, Judo, binge watching her favorite tv series, and horseback riding. She possessed an incredible talent for calligraphy and her writing read like poetry; words lifted from the page and you felt them in your soul. Paula had a smile that would light up a room. She was a tremendous asset to the Mad River Valley community and her family. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two brothers, Patrick, and Michael and his wife Delora , nieces and nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by a sister, Linda L. Hoyt.
A celebration of Paula's life will be held in the Spring.
