Bertha Orr, 97, of Owenton, died Aug. 19, 2007 at the New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton.
Arrangements were handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services are today at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.

Bertha Orr, 97, of Owenton, died Sunday, August 19th at the New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton.
Born July 17, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Omar and Viola Zinn Butler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Orr. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Virgil Raymond Butler, one sister Bess Butler Boulton, her step mother Cora B. Stafford Butler, two step brothers Elmer "Shuck" Stafford and Perry Stafford, one step sister Mattie Stafford Malcomb, and one half-sister Nell Butler McDarment, and two nephews Jerry Butler and Billy Boulton. She was a homemaker, a member of Long Ridge Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge, where she was the oldest member.
Bertha is survived by one niece-Treva Butler Gildea of Florida, one nephew-James B. McDarment of Louisville and several step nieces and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jimmie McDarment, Bob Gilda, Philip Moore, Doug Criswell, Bryan Forsee and Glenn Todd Waldrop. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be June Pryor, Junior Grisham, Johnny Craigmyle, Harold Malcomb, and Harold Wainscott.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes where family will receive friends at the Main Street Location, Tuesday, August 21, 2007 from 5pm-8pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
