Gerald Lawrence Agtergael
Age 76, of Oscoda, MI and formerly of Detroit, MI passed away on January 12, 2022 at the Ann Arbor Veterans Affairs Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born on September 9, 1945 in Detroit, MI to the late Peter and Lorraine (Brandau) Agtergael. Gerald worked for Starboard Industries for 25 years, retiring in 2000. He loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren. Gerald also belonged to the American Legion Oscoda post and served in the Army in the 2nd Infantry Division Second to None from 1965 through 1969. He married his lovely wife, Terry Ann Nelson on June 20, 1969 and together, they enjoyed nearly 53 years of marriage. Gerald is survived by his wife, Terry Agtergael; children, Keri Agtergael, Larry Agtergael and Jerry (Paula) Agtergael all of Oscoda, MI; grandchildren, Clara, Evan, Rhett, Izzy and Keaton and brother-in-law, Gary (Laura) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents. Per Gerald's wishes, cremation has taken place.
