James Howard "Jim" Russell, age 94, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 6, 2019 at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, PA. He was born on June 3, 1924 on the family estate in Bryant Pond, Maine, the son of the late Sidney A. and Leah B. Russell. Jim was a proud Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. Kind, witty, intelligent and charismatic, he enjoyed a long career as a finance specialist. Jim loved working in his beautiful flower gardens, gathering with family and friends, reading about world history and most of all, sharing life with his dear husband and companion of 51 years, Roger Maurice Jones, who survives him. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by a sister, two half-sisters, two half-brothers, and several nieces and nephews. Professional services were entrusted to the Dugan Funeral Home of Shippensburg. Upon Roger's passing in 2022, Jim's cremains were placed with his in a garden of their choice.
