Roy Burton Johnson, age 88, of Waldron passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2000 at a Waldron Nursing Home. He was a long time resident of Scott County and was a Baptist. Mr. Johnson was born September 14, 1912 at Bates, Arkansas to Walter and Lucy May Powell Johnson of Quitman, Arkansas. At a very young age, Roy came to live with his aunt and uncle, Ben and Grace Johnson and was raised as one of their children. Roy was in the dray business with his uncle Ben and cousin R.C. and later they were in the trucking business together.
