Born in Zarszyn, Poland. Emigrated in 1906 - married on July 23, 1913 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church of Bayonne, NJ. Live long resident of Bayonne. He and my grandmother knew each other in Poland.
2 children - Stanley (died 1955) and Jean Babien. Married to the former Frances Kurpiel for over 50 years.
Worked for Standard Oil (Esso) Bayonne for over 40 years.

He never learned to read or write English, but enjoyed playing school with me, and never ending games of cards. I was heart broken when he died. My childhood best friend.
