DOVER- Marjorie Elaine (VanLear) Coble, 96, of York County, passed to her eternal home on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Cletus L. Coble, Sr.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Paddletown Cemetery in Etters. Pastor Greg Wahlberg will be officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting with the arrangements.

Mrs. Coble was born in Chambersburg on August 31, 1925, the daughter of the late William and Lillian VanLear.

Mrs. Coble was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in York. She was a graduate of Lemoyne High School. She was active in the York Women's Auxiliary in the 1970's. She traveled to exciting destinations such as Alaska, Australia and Israel. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Coble is survived by two sons, Cletus Coble, Jr. (Vicki) of Palo Alto, CA and Matthew Coble (Karen) of Thomasville; two daughters, Shauna Holtzapple (the late Gary Holtzapple) of Dover and Jenifer Bruner (Robert) of York; eight grandchildren, Ashley Welchans, Jared Holtzapple, Trevor Coble, Ian Coble, Alexander Coble, Brandon Coble, Molly Onasch, and Alison Bruner; three great grandchildren, Tristyn Holtzapple, Cayden Holtzapple, and Kashus Welchans; and a sister-in-law, Lois Van Lear of Florida and a brother-in-law, Neil Coble of York. She is preceded in death by her brother, William VanLear, Jr.
