FORT PIERCE - James Carlton Williams Sr., 56, of Fort Pierce died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at his home.
A native of Kinard, Fla., he lived in Fort Pierce most of his life. He moved here from North Florida.
Before retirement, he was a heavy equipment operator with Treasure Coast Land Clearing.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife Lydia Blalock Williams of Fort Pierce; a son, James Carlton Williams Jr. of Fort Pierce; two daughters, Dana Diane Ward of Fort Pierce, and Tammy Lynn Williams of Albuquerque, N.M.; two stepdaughters, Christina JoAnn Keen of Cross City, and Margaret Michelle Keen of Fort Pierce; five brothers, Howard Williams of Fort Pierce, Billy Williams of Fort Pierce, Donald Williams of Tallahassee, Hank Williams of Old Town; three sisters, Shirley Williams of Jensen Beach, Stella Hunter of Fort Pierce, and Kathy Barker of Fort Pierce; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
A service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in White City Cemetery.
