James Harris, aged 55 years, died Tuesday night at his home, 716 South Walnut Street. He had been a sufferer from cancer for two years. The funeral will occur at the residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Harris was a soldier in the Civil War, serving in the 10th Indiana volunteers, and later in the regular army. He leaves a wife, but no children.
