Mrs. Hazel Bailey Baum, 52, 500 B St., South Sioux City, died Friday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Baum, the former Hazel Dell Burnett, was born Feb. 15, 1919, in Thurston County. She was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of Victory Chapel, South Sioux City. Survivors include three sons, Ronald Bailey of Sioux City, Richard Bailey of Omaha, and Robert Baum of South Sioux City; five sisters, Mrs. John (May) Neely of South Sioux City, Mrs. Floyd (Esther) Bates of Homer, Neb., Mrs. Roland (Eva) Lester and Mrs. Lynn (Sadie) Burgett, both of Roswell, N. M., Mrs. Homer (Crystal) Wade of Webster, Wis.; a brother, Leonard Burnett of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren. The body was taken to the Jack Becker Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Baum, 52, 500 B St., South Sioux City, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Jack Becker Funeral Home In South Sioux City. The Rev. C. A. Sailors, pastor of Victory Chapel in South Sioux City, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Pallbearers will be Oscar Sharp, Jacque Miller, Gerald and Walter Hiserote, Steve Miller and Doyle Sailors. Mrs. Baum died Friday at a Sioux City hospital.
