FORT PIERCE - Houston Daniel Williams, 78, of Fort Pierce died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999.

A native of Chipley, Fla., he lived in Fort Pierce for 43 years. He moved here from Perry, Fla.

He owned and operated a pulp wood business in Perry and worked in the agriculture industry in Fort Pierce.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lona Estelle Williams, in 1994.

Survivors include six sons, Billy, Howard and Lonnie Williams, all of Fort Pierce, James and Hank Williams, both of Old Town, Fla., and Donald Williams of Tallahassee; three daughters, Shirley Martin of Jensen Beach, and Stella Hunter and Kathie Barker, both of Fort Pierce; two brothers, Coy Williams of Texas and Dink Williams of Tallahassee; a sister, Debbie Kay of Tallahassee; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.

A service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in White City Cemetery.
