Phillip is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Autrey; beloved children, Nathan (Krystal) Autrey, Robin (Thomas) Jackman, Amanda (Gus) Autrey, Kyle (Taylor) Autrey; grandchildren, Ethan, Victoria, Jessica, Blake, Kylor, Alexander, Hunter, Ryker and Ashlyn; brother, Larry (Pamela) Autrey and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence J. and Florence Autrey and brother, Bobby Autrey.
Phillip graduated from Chesterton High School. He retired from Arcelor Mittal in July of 2020 after 49 years of service. Phillip was co-owner of Bam Pizza in Portage, IN. He loved to play golf and enjoyed watching the Bears and White Sox games. He was an avid fan of music including bands such as The Doors, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. He enjoyed playing the guitar. One of his favorite pastimes was playing the lottery and visiting with friends at The Short Stop.
Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00 am at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and again on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery in Chesterton, IN.
