Final Services Held for Southwest Man
Last rites were conducted early this week in the Brown Brothers' mortuary, 935 West Washington street, for George Hanson Hayward, of 5707 South Gramercy place in that city, who passed away last week at the county hospital as the result of a pneumonia and peritonitis. Interment followed in Vesperland at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale. Mr. Hayward, who was 55 years of age, was a salesman with the Globe Packing company. He was born in Kansas and came here in 1912 from Las Vegas, N. M. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America lodge. His widow, Mrs. Clara Louise Hayward, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Hayward of Las Vegas, a son, George H. Hayward, Jr. of San Diego, and Mrs. Josephine M. Thornton, both of San Pedro, survive him.
