She was born on October 1, 1933 in New Orleans, LA where she grew up. Ruth was a loving mother and care taker for her family above all else; she had a kind heart and always put others before herself. For Ruth, family was the most important thing in the world and she loved cooking for everyone at family gatherings and holidays. Ruth looked forward to the annual family fishing trip, and she never met anyone that was a stranger to her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Bergeron Sr., her parents, Frank W. Crocker and Ruth I. Dick Crocker, and her siblings, Frank Crocker Jr. (who died while proudly serving our country in the United States Marine Corps), Betty Archer (Billy), Audrey Cones (Edward), and Donald Crocker (Marion).

Ruth is survived by her children, and her sister. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
