Launa Sue Jones, age 72, of Williamsport, IN, passed away at 11:12 AM on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, IN.
She was born on October 16, 1949 in Williamsport, IN, the daughter of Clement D. Jones and Violet L. Creamer. Launa attended Williamsport Grade School. She contracted polio in 1959 and still managed to graduate from Catlin High School in 1969 and beauty school. Launa had also attended classes at Ivy Tech and Purdue University. She was a lifelong resident of the Warren County, IN area.
Launa worked in the clerical department at Purdue University. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Launa is survived by one daughter; one grandson; two siblings; one sister-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Launa was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Robert DeArment; brother, John Jones; and brother-in-law, Lowell VanLeer.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date at Rainsville Cemetery.
