Orangevale, California - Ruth Nadine Jeter, a longtime resident of Orangevale, California passed quietly at home surrounded by loved ones on January 6, 2022. She was born November 21, 1937 to Elsie Elenore and Philip Omer Baltzell. Ruth was raised on a farm in Rio Oso, California along with her younger sister Beth and older brother Philip. She graduated from East Nicholas High School, Class of 1955. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On several occasions, she hosted the Missionaries in her home.
Ruth is survived by her Children Sidney C. Jeter and Kendra Todd; grandchildren Jacob Jeter, Chantel Allen, Jordan Jeter, Vincent Catalano and Shelby Jeter; and great grandchildren Steven Allen, Jr and Carly Allen.
She was known for her singing, gardening, flower arranging, playing the piano, and she taught many children to play the piano. She was very creative, writing a few songs and a children's scary Halloween story. In her later years when she was too crippled to play the piano or garden, she liked watching Korean dramas. Her favorite singer was Andrea Boccelli and favorite musical piece was Rhapsody in Blue.
There will be a public viewing from 5 PM to 7 PM, on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Price Funeral Chapel, 6335 Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights, CA 95610. Services will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8056 Oak Avenue, Citrus Heights, CA 95610. Interment to follow at the Fairview Cemetery, 1533 Pacific Avenue, Rio Oso, CA 95674.
