WYMORE - Anna M. Hofeling, 108, Wymore, died Saturday morning, July 26, 2003, at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center. She was born April 6, 1895, at Sterling, and spent her childhood in Oklahoma She returned to Gage County at the age of 18, and married Edward W. Hofeling on March 3, 1918, at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Pickrell. She had lived in Gage County her entire adult life, moving to Wymore from the Barneston area in 1966. She moved to the Wymore Good Samaritan Center 13 years ago. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Wymore, and had been a member of the Do Good Club while a member of Immanuel (State Line) Lutheran Church, south of Wymore. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, flower gardening, vegetable gardening and canning, traveling and going fishing with her family.

Survivors: son, Henry Hofeling and wife Betty of Palmer, Alaska; daughters, Margaretha Norris and husband George "Bus" of Wymore; Edna Powell and husband Verne of Aurora, Ore.; and Juanita Leseberg and husband Wallace of Blue Springs; 25 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren, 38 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; and by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Francis (Agena) Aden; her husband, Edward W. Hofeling (July 31, 1965); sons, Chester and John Hofeling; three great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; two half sisters; and one half brother.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 10th and E streets, Wymore, Pastor Don McKillop officiating. Burial: Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs. The body will lie in state at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials to the family's choice. Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, Wymore, in charge of arrangements.
