Reuben B. Philpott,2nd child of David and Sarah (Nance) Philpott, was born ca 1813 in Henry Co Virginia. His age was given as 37 in the 1850 census. He died in Heard County, Georgia before 1887 and was buried in the Philpott cemetery there. Reuben married Sarah "Sallie" Koger who was age 41 in 1850.
