McLEAN - Alexander Coleman Watkins, 90, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, in McLean.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. CST in Mesa Cemetery in Gila, N.M., by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home.

Mr. Watkins was born July 3, 1917, in Mule Creek, N.M., to Lee and Mattie Watkins. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 1040th Army Air Forces Base Unit, from Aug. 5, 1942 to Jan. 25, 1946.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Elizabeth in 1995; and a son, Samuel Paul in 1981.

Survivors include a son, Jesse Watkins and wife Judith of Mule Creek, N.M.; a daughter, Rachel Knapp and husband Mason of Billings, Mont.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
