Mrs. Bertha Roloff, 79 years of age, died on Sunday, February 23 at her home at 121 East Rowland St., after an illness of one year.
She was born on October 9, 1861, in the town of Maple Creek. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ida Marasch, Mrs. Wm. Knorr and Mrs. Minnie Warren all of New London; seven sons, Wm., John and Henry of New London, Arthur, Caledonia, and Leonard, Mukwa; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Stake, Hortonville, and Mrs. Peter Bissonet of Antigo; twelve grand-children and sixteen great grand-children.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 26 at 1:30 P.M. at the Cline and Learman funeral home and at 2 P.M. at the Emmanuel Lutheran church. Rev. W.E. Pankow officiating. Burial was at the Maple Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Julius Fuerst, Frank Rusch, Wm. Reuter, Albert Knapp, Sr., Julius Felsner, and Gust Hanke. Those from out of town who attended the funeral are the following: Mrs. Walter Jacobs and Mr. and Mrs. Leon La Mountain of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bork of Readfield; Mr. and Mrs. August Rubbert of Larsen; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Myers of Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. Igna_ Pankratz; Mr. and Mrs. Berney Bernson, and Dave Disonette, all of Phlox; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kolby of Wittenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Knorr, Jr. and Herman Knorr, Sr. of Shiocton; and Mr. and Mrs. August Pribbernow and family of Clintonville.
