Death of their First Born.-The many friends of Dr. and Mrs. Chas. L. Alexander will deeply sympathize with them in the loss of their little son, Charles Lee, who died at 5:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, suddenly and very unexpectedly. For just one year to the day, this little child brightened the home of its parents, and its taking off was doubly sad by reason of its unexpectedness. Almost without warning this shadow was thrown around the hearthstone of the young couple, but if grief can be assuaged by sympathy, surely the offerings of sympathy from so many hearts that know how to feel for them.
The funeral services were conducted from the residence at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. Jos. B. Cheshire, and were attended by a large circle of sympathetic friends. The pall bearers were Mr. John Arrington, Mr. Nell Pharr, Mr. Herlot Clarkson and Dr. Geo. W. Graham.
