Sara Louise Steele Taylor Moore passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the age of 94. Born on August 31, 1927, in Lancaster County, SC, Sara was the daughter of the late Goodman Franklin Taylor and Pearl Bertha Mae Steele Taylor.

Sara began her career with Southern Bell, where she was a clerk. She would eventually become a Deputy Registrar with the Gaston County Register of Deeds, where she retired. Sara was a longstanding member of First United Methodist Church in Gastonia. Sara enjoyed travelling the world and family genealogy. She, along with her late husband, Joe, was a founding member of the Grand Spinners Square Dance Club.

In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Taylor "Joe" Moore; eight brothers and sisters.

Sara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Caroline Moore Hildenbrand and Kirk Hildenbrand; granddaughter, Chloe Hildenbrand; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends of Sara Moore are invited to attend her visitation beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. A service of committal will be held from the graveside beginning at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 23 2022, at Gaston Memorial Park. The Reverend Matthew Burton will officiate.
