Deceased: ELIZABETH B. ACKISS; Date: September 19, 2003
Elizabeth Brock Ackiss, 82, passed away Sept. 16, 2003, in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Princess Anne County, Mrs. Ackiss retired as a secretary from Virginia Truck Experimental Farm and also North Carolina Wesleyan College.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Ackiss Bessom and her husband David of Quinton, Va.; and two sons, Paul B. Ackiss and his wife Jane of Virginia Beach and W. Brooke Ackiss Jr. and his wife Mary Neal of Morehead City, N.C. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Brock Loughman of Baltimore, Md.; five grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Tyler, Scott and Brock; and a niece, Lynn Rose of Baltimore, Md.
A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Charity Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. "
