Ester Otero, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Ester was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Marta Baca, son, Michael Otero, grandson, Sammy Jojola Jr,, six sisters, Mariana, Pabla, Elviria, Georgia, Josefine and Helen and one brother, Ramón.
Ester is survived by son, Max J. Otero and his wife, Lorraine, daughter, Nancy Jojola, son, Gilbert Otero, daughter, Isabel M. Otero and twelve grandchildren, Max J. III, Melanie, Leanne, Carlos, Fernando, José, Renee, Gilbert, Michael, Atanacio Jr., Luís and Marco. Ester had 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Ester was born in Socorro, NM then moved to Albuquerque, NM.
Ester's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary recited on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, Albuquerque, NM. Mass on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM. Ester will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. Reception will follow in the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Parish Hall. Pallbearers will be Max J. Otero III, Fernando Jojola, José Burciaga, Carlos J. Otero, Atanacio Peña Jr. and Gilbert E. Otero. Honorary Pallbearers will be Luís M. Molina and Marco A. Molina.
