Rosa was born on Sept. 18, 1918, in Westminster, to Charles E. and Nellie Watkins Cobb. She moved to Slater in the late 1930's, where she married Marion Dudley, the love of her lifetime. Rosa lived at Slater where she had many friends, worked for J.P. Stevens & Co., and was a member of Slater Methodist Church.
After the death of Marion in 1982, she moved to Berea in 1989, where she joined Providence Baptist Church. She lived there until her death.
Rosa is predeceased by Marion, her husband; her daughter, Judith Wyatt; sisters, Mary Biggerstaff, Eloise Humphries, Billie Underwood; and a brother, A.C. Cobb.
She is survived by two sons, Larry G. Dudley and his wife, Linda, of Greenville, and Marion "Buddy" Dudley and his wife, Donna, of Powdersville; and sisters, Evelyn Cashion of Slater and Carrie Crockett of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
Services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 8515 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611.
The family is at their respective homes.
