Albert Dean Miller, 91, of Anabel, Missouri passed away on Saturday December 25, 2021 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
Dean was born on June 13, 1930 at Lodge, Illinois, the son of Clifford Marion and Marietta Pearl (Tatman) Miller. He married Martha Joan Zook at Urbana, Illinois on July 16, 1949. Dean joined the United States Marine Corps on December 12, 1951 and served in the Korean War. Eight years later, Dean was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps Reserve with the rank of Corporal. Dean and his wife moved to Anabel, Missouri in the fall of 1971 from Charleston, Illinois to farm. Dean continued farming for over forty years in some capacity, whether it be row crops, cattle, pigs, chickens, sheep or rabbits. He remained on his family farm for fifty years, until his death.
Surviving Albert Dean are four sons, Robert, James, David and Dale; five grandsons; seven granddaughters; nineteen great-grandsons, sixteen great-granddaughters, nine great great-grandsons, eight great great-granddaughters, two step-grandsons, three step-granddaughters, two step great-grandsons and six step great-granddaughters.
Also surviving and much loved are four brothers Clifford, Al, James, and Michael; five sisters Kathryn Leeds, Mayola Tarter, Jane Tarr, Edie Henry and Nellie Jo Price.
Dean was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister Evelyn Howard, granddaughter Amy Smith and Carol Miller, a very special daughter-in-law.
Funeral services were December 30, 2021 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home with Rev. Olin Roper officiating. Burial with full military honors followed at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery on State Highway PP.
